Out under the sky

Thank you all for your hard work last week. It is most heartening to hear that several of you are doing some homework between rehearsals – it benefits us all. Well done for getting through the traffic; we must keep an eye on next year’s firework celebrations (5th November is a Saturday). It was good to welcome Steve to our midst.

John Hardcastle has prepared a useful list of youtube recordings of all the pieces that he can find which could aid our learning. Here is a recording of Coventry Carol by the choir in Ireland that Jane Poat’s Lizzie is in – it is very good.

This week we are in Woodborough (hopefully traffic free) and will be concentrating on the second half plus I wonder as I wander, The Blessed Bird and O Holy Night.

Tickets are now available. We haven’t had a decision from Newstead as to how many audience will be allowed so buy early to avoid disappointment. If you don’t want to handle cash you can order from the website and pay through BACS.

The Carol Singing at Newstead Abbey’s Craft Fair will be 1-3 pm on 5th December.
