Thank you for a good rehearsal last week, it sounded as if you were all glad to be back singing.
Our next performance will on 7th May at Stathern. As it in May I am leaning towards a “Flower” theme for some of the items. We have a number of Rose pieces and there are others in the library – all suggestions welcome.
Here is the music list for Friday:
| ERP 83 | Come live with me |
| ESM 344 | Exsultate justi |
| ESM 364 | Jesu, dulcis memoria |
| MP 103 | Fair Phyllis I saw sitting all alone |
| OTA 122 | If ye love me |
| OTA 44 | Ave verum |
| OTA 84 | Haec Dies (SSATTB) |
| Sheet | Oculi Omnium |
Here is the English translation of Oculi Omnium:
Ps.145:15 The eyes of all wait upon thee, [O Lord]; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
It is often used as a Grace.
One of the suggestions put forward at the A.G.M. was to produce a recruitment flier, which I am currently working on. I would like to include positive quotes from members about the Newstead Abbey Singers experience. Send one line about your experience to me over weekend please, anonymity will be preserved!
